Help Me Become a Veterinarian – Support My Tuition for St. Matthew’s University

Hi, my name is Nataly Araujo, and I’m reaching out to ask for your support in helping me pursue my lifelong dream of becoming a veterinarian.

I was born in Peru and raised in the U.S., and I’m proud to represent my Hispanic heritage in everything I do. As a first-generation college graduate, I’ve worked tirelessly to get to this point—through personal hardships, long study nights, and hands-on experience caring for animals. Now, I’ve been accepted into St. Matthew’s University School of Veterinary Medicine, a program that will equip me with the knowledge and skills to give animals the voice and care they deserve.

Unfortunately, because the school is located outside the U.S., I do not qualify for federal student loans. The only available funding options are private loans with high interest rates and no grace period—meaning I would have to start paying back loans while still in school, which is nearly impossible as a full-time student.

Each semester costs over $17,000, and the total tuition is more than $200,000. I’m doing everything I can to fund this journey, but I can’t do it alone. That’s why I’m humbly asking for your help.

From the time I was young, I’ve had an immense love for animals. I’ve volunteered at shelters, worked in animal hospitals, and advocated for those who can’t speak for themselves. I don’t just want to be a veterinarian—I want to be a leader in the Latinx community, bringing better animal care to under-resourced communities, both in the U.S. and in countries like Peru. My dream is to open clinics and shelters where they’re most needed, and to create opportunities for others like me who want to make a difference.
