Help Natalie Survive Knee Surgery

If you know me, you know I’m a giver. It’s rare for me to turn down a catsitting job or parent that needs FIP guidance because I want to help however I can. Now I’m the one who needs help, so here we are. Please read all the way to the bottom. There’s a kitten waiting there.
On December 10th, after the clinic Christmas party, I slipped on some wet leaves in the rain. I twisted my knee and slammed it into the side of my car, and wrenched my back. I was more worried about my back than my knee until the next day when the pain was so bad I could barely move it, and when I could walk on it it kept giving out.
One MRI and several radiographs later, we determined that my meniscus is torn. Not just torn, either. The orthopedic surgeon said it’s torn off at the root and is bulging out of the joint space. It needs to be repaired and anchored back to the bone. It’s more complex than expected and comes with a recovery time of at least 3 months.
2 weeks of that I will be out of work, which means I won’t be able to pay my rent or car payments without help. Also, my insurance deductible resets in January so this is going to be AT LEAST $5000 in surgical and facility fees, potentially $8500, which is my out of pocket max.
I need your help to not let me become unhoused or bankrupt because of this. If you can donate anything at all, even $5, it will all go to my surgery and helping me survive afterward. Anything over my goal will go toward meds, PT, and groceries. Thank you so much for reading this far. Here is a picture of a kitten.
