Help Support Natalie’s Recovery After a Life-Threatening Car Accident

On the morning after Thanksgiving, while most of us were still sleeping off our holiday meals, Natalie was already on her way to work. Tragically, her car hit snow and ice, sending her into a telephone pole. The impact wrapped the driver’s side of her car around the pole, trapping her inside.

EMTs worked quickly to keep her warm and stable while rescue crews spent several hours freeing her from the wreckage. She was rushed to Wilson Memorial Hospital with:

• A collapsed lung

• A heart contusion

• Two fractures in her lower lumbar

• Two breaks in her pelvis

Yet somehow… she survived.

By the grace of God, by the hands of the EMTs, and by a strength we can only call miraculous, Natalie is still here. She spent the rest of November in the hospital, fighting through pain and fear with one thing on her mind—her 2-year-old daughter who needed her mommy to come home.

Now that she’s home, the reality is sinking in. Natalie cannot walk without a walker. She cannot lift her baby. She can’t even do the most basic things without help. Doctors have told her she’ll be out of work for at least three months—three months with no income.
