Hi, my name is Natalie, and I am a 41-year-old professional female who received a breast cancer diagnosis in February. Stage 1 Invasive Ductal Carcinoma in 2 locations. The shock of the diagnosis at my age and after my first mammogram has been a bit to take in and process while still maintaining my day-to-day life.

I am currently completing genetic testing to acquire more information to educate my sisters and my nieces about their risks and any other cancer risks I may have.

Surgery is inevitable, then recovery and discussion of any further treatment at that time.

As I have begun this journey, medical bills have increased quickly, and knowing I will need to take time off of work increases the financial burden of this unexpected hurdle.
