This past year has been especially hard for my friend Natalia as her beloved dog, who was 11 years old, struggled with heart failure. Natalia did everything she could, taking her dog to the vet many times and making sure she was as comfortable as possible. On Christmas Eve, things took a heartbreaking turn when her dog accidentally ate nine days’ worth of medication. Natalia rushed her to the emergency vet hospital, where she underwent several procedures and had to stay overnight. The next night, after bringing her home, Natalia noticed a red spot on her dog’s belly. She took her back to the hospital, where they discovered she was internally bleeding. The kindest and most compassionate choice was to let her go peacefully. Now, Natalia is left not only with the pain of losing her best friend right after Christmas, but also with a large amount of debt from the emergency care, the procedures, the euthanasia, and the cremation so she can keep her dog’s ashes close. I want to help Natalia start this new year without the burden of debt from this loss. She’s already been through so much, and I hope that with your support, we can make this year a little easier for her. Any contribution, no matter the size, will help Natalia cover these expenses and begin to heal. Thank you for considering helping a friend in need during such a difficult time.
