Hello everyone!
My name is Natalia Turchin. I am an international student from the Republic of Moldova who came to the United States of America to pursue my dream of becoming an opera singer. I am working on my master’s degree in Vocal Performance at Southeastern Louisiana University, Hammond LA. This is my first year living and studying internationally, thousands of miles away from my motherland – the Republic of Moldova.
I need your help. Here is my story: I have been accepted in a Summer Opera Program in Italy “La Musica Lirica” which is a non-profit organization. I accepted the role of Elvira in the opera “L’Italiana in Algeri” by G. Rossini. To be able to participate in the program I have to cover all the expenses. I have $500 scholarship from “La Musica Lirica”. However, I still need to collect $8300 to cover all costs. As war threatens my Country and neighboring Ukraine I feel it is even more important to continue to make music. Any contribution will help me to represent Southeastern Louisiana University on an international stage af artists. Any help is greatly appreciated.
My primary goals are to achieve new knowledge, perform in my first full staged opera production, and acquire new relationships with my fellow colleagues.
Here are some of my performances:
