My name is Laura Aryeetey, and I am raising funds to support my family in Ghana during an incredibly difficult time.
Earlier this year, two of my brothers-in-law, Nat Aryeetey (48) and Andrew Aryeetey (36), experienced separate, life-threatening medical emergencies and were admitted to the hospital just one day apart. Health insurance in Ghana does not cover the level of care they required, and families are responsible for paying medical expenses out of pocket.
Tragically, Andrew passed away recently after battling kidney failure. Our family is now working to cover the funeral and burial expenses so that he can be laid to rest with dignity.
Nat suffered a seizure that caused him to fall and sustain a brain bleed, and he also experienced a stroke related to the injury. He is no longer hospitalized and is thankfully doing better, but he continues to require ongoing medical care, monitoring, and recovery support, which remain costly.
Funds raised will go toward:
- Andrew’s funeral and burial expenses
- Ongoing medical and recovery-related costs for Nat
Thank you for taking the time to read our story. Any support—whether through a donation, sharing this fundraiser, or keeping our family in your prayers—means more than we can express.
