2021 started with a lot of promises and hopes after a bumpy 2020. As we started this year, tragedy struck all of us which we may have never anticipated in our lives. On February 28th, our dearest friend Narayan Bhat (age 34) fondly called as Nani, was admitted to emergency at Williamson county hospital, Franklin, TN.
After some tests and diagnosis (X-ray & CT Scan) Williamson county doctors decided to move him to Vanderbilt Neurological Emergency Intensive Care, Nashville, TN. At Vanderbilt post further observation and tests (MRI, Angiogram, etc) team of doctors discovered that he is critical with Subarachnoid Hemorrhage in the brain. He was immediately moved to Surgery room on March 1st and he underwent multiple procedures including Pipeline Stent for Brain Aneurysm. Post surgery he is continuing to be critical and in intensive critical care unit at Vanderbilt and is expected to be in ICU until advised by the team of surgeons and doctors.
Currently we believe, Nani will have to undergo couple of surgeries, 3 or more weeks of critical care, potential additional hospitalization and 4-6 months of rehabilitation post hospitalization. We are expecting significant expenses for the family post insurance coverage and family savings.
This unexpected events has caused tremendous shock and pressure to his immediate family members. Already suffering with the shock of this unforeseen events, financial stress and strain should not be a concern for his immediate family. We are requesting everyone to please contribute any amount they wish and support the family. If you are willing to donate, click on the donate button to do so. The funds will be directly sent to his wife, Sreelakshmi.
Nani arrived in the USA and made a lot of personal connections and friends who treat him like family. Nani hails from Sirsi, Karnataka, India. Currently, Nani lives in Franklin, TN along with wife, Sreelakshmi and a 4 year old daughter, Aadhvika. Also, they are expecting another child in May 2021. Nani also supports his aged parents in India.
We are creating this gofundme page to support Nani and family to manage expenses related to hospitalization, after consulting immediate family.
