Help Naomi Taylor Fight Chronic Lyme Disease
Donation protected
Hello! I am Anne Marie Taylor and this is my beautiful, daughter Naomi Taylor. Please share this and pray for Naomi!
Naomi was always an active child and young adult. Horseback riding, skateboarding, cow wrangling, archery, marching band, swimming, college life, etc. She has been ill for almost seven years with the last five years being the hardest. Naomi has not left her bed on many of days during that time due to being too sick. This included missing lots of work, having to quit college, missing out on endless events with friends and family, and stopping all physical activities.
Two years ago Naomi was diagnosed with Chronic Lyme disease. It took many hospital stays and testing to get to this point. I've had a front row seat watching her have black outs, mononucleosis (commonly known as mono), spinal taps, MRI's, CT scans, chest pains, EKGs, EEGs, heart monitors, fatigue, chronic pain in her joints, dehydration, and worst of all a nonstop headache since November of 2019. The Lyme disease has caused her immune system to be almost non-existent and to be sick with colds, sinus infections, earaches, etc on a regular basis.
If you know Naomi she likes to be out with friends and family. She has had to fight so much to just function with daily tasks like driving her car or trying to go to sleep. This shouldn’t be the life of a 22 year old, but it’s Naomi’s reality.
Her doctors in the United States have been as aggressive as they can be with different types of treatment and her body is not responding. Her blackouts have increased and her ears have started to become extra sensitive. The doctors in Germany want to try another treatment as soon as possible before things deteriorate further. Her physical and mental health are needing support as she takes this next step. She will be gone for approximately 5 weeks. The medical facility that will be taking her is Klinik St. Georg in Germany. Klinik St Georg is best equipped to handle cases like Naomi's because of her headache and blackouts and has the best success rate for severe Lyme patients.
It is going to be hard having my youngest child across the World staying in a hospital, but her team of doctors believe this treatment will heal her and allow her to have a normal life.
Naomi's medical expenses have been extremely expensive and medical insurance will not cover this treatment. She is slow to ask for help but doesn't hesitate to help others.
Our family asks you to please help fight this fight for Naomi!
