At just 8 years old, Naomi Townsend is no stranger to making a difference. With a heart full of compassion and a determination beyond her years, Naomi is embarking on her second campaign under her inspiring Project 22 initiative. This time, she’s running to support the people living in the central Jamaican parishes Manchester and St. Elizabeth, which were devastated by Hurricane Beryl.

The Challenge

On Sunday 18th August, Naomi will take on an incredible challenge: running 8 kilometres, one for each year of her life. This run isn’t just a physical test for Naomi; it’s a beacon of hope and solidarity for families struggling in the aftermath of the hurricane.

The Cause

All proceeds from Naomi’s run will be donated to the Rotary Club of Mandeville, a non-profit service club committed to putting service above self. This dedicated non-profit organisation is working tirelessly on the ground to provide much-needed support to affected communities. Many households in Manchester and St. Elizabeth are still without basic necessities like electricity and water, while the homes of some families are no longer habitable due to the extent of the damage.
