Help Naomi get vocal surgery

We're helping raise funds so that Naomi can get voice feminization surgery.

Naomi is a 41 yr old transgender woman who has spent the last several years attempting voice therapy to make her voice sound more feminine. The result has been years of struggle to sound more feminine only to have the methods and practices result in more harm than anything else. Her voice has gotten more raspy and constantly experiencing pain and scratchiness in her vocal cords. Her health insurance provider covered voice therapy but refuses to allow any further help.

In addition to this challenge she is constantly experiencing vocal dysphoria as a result of the failed attempts at voice feminization. She currently holds a job in which she is consistently on the phone with staff and customers or in meetings having to use a voice that does not match who she is. As a result she is constantly mis-gendered which also results in exacerbating her dysphoria even more.

Naomi is the single income earner for her family and is currently trying to find better employment in an area that is more affordable to her and is still safe for her and her very LGBTQ and disabled family members. But in order to do so she's going to need a voice that matches her gender identity. Recruiters and employers usually cut initial phonecalls short after hearing her voice.
