Help Naomi explore with an all-terrain stroller!

Naomi’s 8th birthday is coming up at the end of August, and we want to get her a new set of wheels!

We are finally getting out of the fog of the ongoing pandemic, new job schedules, appointments, and twin toddlerhood, and we want to take our girls exploring! Go to National Parks! See the great outdoors! Heck, even just push Naomi around our backyard with ease!

But we need your help!

Naomi got a fantastic custom wheelchair at the beginning of 2020. We use it every day, and it works well for around the house, doctors' appointments, and family walks on smooth, paved paths. It doesn’t have to ability to go on gravel or grass or any rocky terrain without a massive struggle on our end (and major discomfort for Naomi; she loves a smooth ride). Unfortunately, the model of wheelchair she has doesn’t have all-terrain wheels we could purchase to modify her current chair. It also doesn’t come with the option to have a sun visor or wind/rain shield added. For those who know Naomi, these chair accessories are essential to her enjoying the outdoors with us.

This has made our family outings and travels more limited than they already were, and insurance says they cannot justify helping us pay for a second chair for Naomi.

Here’s where you come in!

We’d love to get our girl an all-terrain special needs stroller, specifically the Leggero Dyno. The Dyno has everything we are looking for in a special needs stroller/wheelchair:

Lightweight (more so than her current chair)

Completely collapsable for easy trunk storage

Custom seating and cushions for added trunk, neck, and ankle support

Sun visor and rain shield (critical for when we would like to get out on chillier days, as she gets cold quick!)

All-terrain tires on 3 wheels, with a swiveling front wheel

Ability to be wheelchair van friendly when the time comes for us to get a van

We are excited for all the possibilities ahead for Naomi with this new stroller.
