Many of you who know us, Katie and Chris, know about the multitude of complications that we've been faced with since adopting Naomi in March. Now, we've found out that our girl Naomi has heartworm. We've had her start treatment immediately and it will be long, a year or more, and very expensive. Chris and I are committed to doing everything possible to get her through this. She's been the best addition to our lives since we got her and if we had to go back and do it all over again, we would.

After our cat Pickles' surgery this past September, our funds are pretty tight, and this diagnosis has been overwhelming. We're asking for help to cover Naomi's heartworm treatment, medications, and vet visits.

Heartworm disease is spread by mosquito bites and affects the heart and lungs. It's serious, but with proper treatment, dogs can recover.
