Help Naomi and Daughter Through Tough Times
Donation protected
Many months ago, I put in my notice to leave my current position at the school where I have worked for 8 years. My daughter will be entering her last year here - 8th grade! - and I wanted just one year to be only a parent, and not a parent-employee, so that I may be more involved as a parent volunteer and could hopefully move on to a position that has a more sustainable income as well. I would have waited until I had first procured new employment, but being who I am, I knew the school needed more notice as they were setting the next school year's budget, and would also need time to hire and train my replacement. So, I took a leap of faith, and tendered my resignation for the end of the fiscal year (June 30th).
Well, despite months of intensive job searching on multiple platforms and using a variety of methods, and despite networking in every imaginable way, I am one week away from being without a job and have no promising prospects.
I will continue my aggressive efforts to find a new position in my field, and will be meeting with someone who specializes in helping individuals in this time of their lives and careers find their next good employment match. Until then, I am filled with fear at having no backup sources of income to take care of my household for my daughter and I.
Any bit you are able to donate to getting me through this (hopefully) brief spell will go toward the mortgage, utilities, and basic needs of our tiny household. Plus, as my father always said, you will be rewarded in heaven (and will live forever in my heart).
Thank you in advance for any help you are able to provide us.
Humbly & Gratefully,
Naomi
