My name is Nanda, and I’ve been a professional makeup artist since I was 15, starting my journey in Venezuela before moving to Miami in 2015. Over the years, I’ve specialized in editorial, commercial, and social makeup, building a career I’m deeply passionate about. Yesterday, I experienced a devastating setback. When I went to my garage, I found my car had been broken into. The glove compartment was open, the back seat was a mess, and when I checked the trunk, I realized my entire professional makeup kit and lighting setup had been stolen. Everything was gone—my makeup products, brushes, suitcases, lighting, even my hair kit and the crystal bowls I use for sound healing. Years of investment and hard work disappeared in a moment.


This loss has put my ability to work at immediate risk. I have a two-day production job coming up on Friday, and without my kit, I can’t fulfill my commitments. It’s currently low season for my business in Miami, so funds are tight, and replacing even the basics is a challenge.
