Help Save Nanda — A Young Woman Fighting for Her Life in Bali

Nanda is a beautiful 22-year-old young woman from Bali, Indonesia, whose life is hanging in the balance. For several years she has struggled with a serious neurological condition, but in recent months her situation has become critical and heartbreaking.

She now suffers from relentless, excruciating headaches that give her no rest, waking her screaming in pain through the night. She has developed double vision, difficulty walking, and is now completely bedbound in the hospital — a vibrant young woman who should be living the fullness of her life, reduced to waiting and suffering while her family prays for a miracle.

That miracle requires your help.

I met Nanda’s father, Yudha, during my Christian mission trips to Bali over the past two years, where our team has been working to support the local church and school community. Yudha has been an indispensable partner in everything we have built together — and this past weekend, the nonprofit foundation we established together completed its very first outreach event, providing free medical and dental care to nearly 600 impoverished Balinese villagers in a single day.

Yudha has poured himself into serving his community with grace, dedication, and faith.

Now his family needs the community to pour back into him.

New imaging performed last week revealed that what was initially believed to be a vascular aneurysm requiring a minimally invasive embolization procedure is in fact a cavernous malformation — a cavernoma — located in the cerebellum, the part of the brain that controls movement, balance, and coordination.

This changes everything.

Rather than a catheter-based procedure, Nanda now requires open brain surgery — the surgical team must cut through bone, enter the cerebellum, and physically remove the cavernoma.

This is an extraordinarily complex and dangerous operation.

She may not survive it. But without it, she will not survive at all. She is 22 years old. This surgery is her only chance.

Because the surgery required is fundamentally different from what was originally anticipated, the cost has risen from approximately $4,500 to approximately $14,000 USD — reflecting the full complexity of open neurosurgical intervention at the level of the cerebellum.

Every dollar raised here goes directly to giving Nanda that chance.

Our original donors were breathtakingly generous and brought us to our first goal, and we are profoundly grateful — but we are not there yet, and time is not on Nanda’s side.

If you can give, please give. If you cannot give, please share.

One share can reach the person who changes everything for this young woman and for a father who has given so much to so many.

Thank you, and God bless you.
