Help Nancy's Family Rebuild After Fire
Donation protected
Our dear friend Nancy Sanders and her family suffered a heartbreaking loss this past Friday night. While out celebrating their son’s birthday, they received the devastating call that every family fears—their home was on fire.
Fire crews acted quickly and thankfully everyone is safe, but their beloved home is now unlivable. What wasn’t destroyed by flames has been severely damaged by smoke and water. In the blink of an eye, they’ve lost nearly everything, including one of their vehicles.
If you know Nancy, you know the light she brings into every room. I first met her through PTO. She was a member of the board for 2 years, on campus during lunches, and had the most amazing connection with the students. Her bubbly, joyful personality makes her someone kids and parents alike are drawn to. Her husband Mike, a local A/C technician, is always the first to step in when someone in our community needs help. Their kindness and willingness to give have touched so many lives here in Wellington.
Now, it’s our turn to surround them with the love and support they’ve always shown others. Nancy, Mike, and their son (a 9th grader at Wellington High) are facing months away from home and the overwhelming task of replacing everything from clothing to furniture.
Please consider helping this amazing family rebuild and recover. No gesture is too small—whether it’s a donation, gift card, meal, or simply sharing this message. Together, we can remind them that they are not facing this alone.
