Help Nancy after a viscous dog attack

My name is Kristy. I am raising funds for my mom, Nancy Fleisig. On October 17, 2021, my mom was viscously attacked by her friend's dog, Zeus. Zeus has attacked before and is not allowed around anyone but the neighbor and the owner. This dog is even chained inside of a bedroom when inside the house. While my mom was inside the house the neighbor decided to walk the dog into the house. From there we are not clear what happened but Zeus got loose. Zeus lunged at a gentleman that was also inside the house and that's when my mom panicked and let out a scream. Zeus then turned his attention on my mom and jumped on her, attacking. He pinned her inside of a pantry where he viscously attacked her. The owner and neighbor did everything they could to get the dog off my mom. It is still not clear how they managed to get him off of her. She was lucky enough to survive with only damage to both of her arms. Her left arm was severely bitten/punctured, while the right arm had the most damage. When she arrived at the ER they had to put her to sleep just to cut off her clothes and access the damage. She had to go through a 7-hour surgery to get her arm back into shape. Her hand was dangling at the wrist, the Radius and Ulna bones were broken. She had to get two plates, a rod, and 18 screws. She also spent 4 days in the hospital. She will also need to learn how to use her hand again. My mom lives with my 87-year-old grandmother and helps take care of her. As of right now, she can't work, she can't help my grandmother, she can't do much of anything. My grandmother and I are doing our best to take care of her. Her friend has no insurance and is not wanting to surrender the dog. We have been in contact with the dog warden and the city prosecutor. She will be facing some major Dr. visits ahead due to the amount of damage caused. Doctor bills and lawyer fees are going to begin to add up quickly!
