Help Nancy Vivo with Medical Expenses

As some of you may know, Nancy Vivo has been a huge pillar in the community, living in New Middletown for 48 years. She raised 6 children there, all graduated from Springfield Local High School and has always welcomed her children's friends into her home, as well as her "7th child" Mickey Gresko! Nancy has reached out and helped out many people and families, from spaghetti dinners and graduation parties to delivering food to families and helping when ill or injured or when a loved one passed away. Nancy has a true love for cooking and baking and if you know her, you have probably eaten one of her delicious meals or yummy baked goods!

Unfortunately, Nancy has suffered from medical issues for a few years, though she has not been able to figure out all the answers to some of these issues. In June 2019, Nancy broke her hip and unfortunately has been restricted to a wheelchair since. And in June 2020, she was diagnosed with ALS, or Lou Gehrig's disease. ALS is a chronic disease that affects the nervous system causing muscle weakness and nerve cell breakdown which impacts physical functioning. This disease also restricts her to a wheelchair. Luckily, Nancy was able to borrow a friend's wheelchair accessible van, allowing her to leave the house for doctor appointments, however most of Nancy's days are spent at home because of her inability to easily leave her home. In addition, Nancy's home needs significant renovations, specifically her bathroom, to allow her to move around easier and not need as much assistance getting from one room of her house to another.  Due to this, this GoFundMe was created to ask for help with medical expenses, money towards the purchase of a wheelchair accessible van, and house renovations.

Many people have asked in the past what they can do to help Nancy, and any donation small or large is greatly appreciated to help ease some of the financial burden that is associated with her chronic illness.
