On Saturday, March 6th, 2022, a massive fire in rural eastern Reno County, KS, destroyed 35 homes, 92 outbuildings, and 110 vehicles, displacing over 100 people. Fortunately, my good friends Nancy & Don Johnson were not home at the time of the fire, but they lost everything -- their house (pictured above) and all its contents, outbuildings, vehicles, and possibly a cat or two or three. Now Nancy & Don must figure out how to put their lives back together, the primary decision being where to live and how to replace the basic items that were lost, such as clothes, furniture, appliances, and other essentials -- and, of course, how to pay for it all.
Nancy & Don are usually the ones helping others. They don't often ask for help, which is why they did so much work around their property themselves. But they need a lot of support now. So please thoughtfully consider donating to their cause.
