Dear friends, family, colleagues, and community,
I'm Nancy Cordova, a deaf mother of three and a grandmother. I've been battling Multiple Sclerosis for 11 years, experiencing fatigue, balance issues, leg weakness, and drop foot. I'm hoping to raise funds to undergo HSCT treatment at Clinica Ruiz in Mexico, the world's largest autoimmune disease treatment center. This treatment could change my life and potentially stop my MS, offering a pain-free future. Package price is: $57,500.00 USD including meals, accommodation and ground transportation and for 28 days.
plus airfare, food, and MRI for myself and a caregiver. A donation of $62,000 would be ideal.
I've already been approved for treatment!!!
Now, we just need to raise the funds and get started. My dream is to walk with you all again and enjoy life without avoiding hot weather. I love you all
What is HSCT:
HSCT aims to 'reset' the immune system to stop it attacking the central nervous system. It uses chemotherapy to remove the harmful immune cells and then rebuilds the immune system using a type of stem cell found in your bone marrow.
These are the haematopoietic stem cells. The stem cells used in the treatment can produce all the different cells in your blood, including immune cells. But they can't regenerate damaged nerves or other parts of the brain and spinal cord.
The procedure will take one month to complete and involves harvesting my stem cells, receiving chemotherapy to ablate my immune system and then reintroducing his stem cells with the hope of re-setting my immune system with no trace of MS. While treatment is 1 month long, i will need to isolate for 3 months following this procedure and all healing won't take place fully until 12 months post treatment.
