Help Nancie Fight Breast Cancer While Pregnant.

On the 28th of January, at only 32 years old and while 25 weeks pregnant, my amazing wife Nancie Allen was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer.

1 in 3000 pregnant women are diagnosed with breast cancer. We are newly married, and are so excited to welcome our first child into the world, we were definitely not expecting our third trimester to be like this.

At Christmas time Nancie discovered a lump in her breast, she went to the doctor straight away and after weeks of 2 ultrasounds, 3 biopsies, a mammogram, and numerous other appointments, she finally recieved the breast cancer diagnosis that has already spread to her lymph nodes.

Nancie's main concern has been the safety of our unborn son and making sure she can be there with him for years to come.

Nancie has already missed many days of work due to testing and appointments and as of this week, Nancie has had to stop work. She is facing six months of chemotherapy, followed by a double mastectomy and lymph node removal. The doctors are unable to perform scans to see if the cancer has spread further due to her pregnancy. But after she gives birth they will be able to see. The rest of her treatment will depend on this and on how she responds to the current treatment plan.

Any funds raised will assist with covering time off work whilst Nancie goes through treatment, hospital parking and costs assosciated with raising a new born baby.

Nancie was a Primary School teacher for 8 years and loves helping kids reach there full potential. She also moonlighted as a personal trainer helping other women take control and improve their health and lives.
