Hey Friends! Nancey Here :)
In 2022, I realized a dream of having my first art studio in a modest 10x10 bedroom with a window that faced the inside of a one-car garage. It was my quaint little honey hole that birthed the likes of The Home Place, Things We Carried, Morning Glory Over Red Georgia Clay, and my solo exhibition, Black in Bloom.
It was also in this space where I developed and created content that has garnered tens of thousands of views online and became acquainted with legions fans, fellow creatives and storytellers from around the world. In the three short years that I've created in this space, I have grown tremendously as an artist and so has demand for my work. And as demand grew, so has my need for more space to thrive. In short: I'm bursting at the seams and my cozy little studio is no longer sufficient enough for my creative endeavors.
Recently, I was presented with an incredible opportunity to move into a much larger creative studio space! Not only would the space grant me the ability to work on multiple large-scale projects at once, but it would also provide ample space for me to record higher-quality instructional how-to videos for a future masterclass as well as for my podcast, Dreaming In Color with Nancey B. Price. The best part: the space is located on rural farmland that is reflective of Girard, GA--my hometown and the reason I am the artist I've become.
Here's the thing: if I want to take advantage of this opportunity, I have to be moved in by the end of this month! As you all are well aware, the cost of living has skyrocketed over the past few years and in the rural Georgia town where I live, things are no different. As much as I've tried to garner funds on my own: I need your help! I am calling on my community of supporters to help me raise $4,000 by May 1st to pay for moving expenses, security deposit, and first month's rent.
Can you give $5, $10, $20, $40, or $100 to bring me closer to realizing my dreams? Your support would greatly impact my ability to secure a space that allows me to thrive as a creative entering an exciting new chapter of her life.
I have already received so many words of affirmation and encouragement and that alone has given me the courage to pursue such an endeavor as this. Thank you so much for your support!
