Our dear Nanay Ruby, a woman known in our community for her strength, kindness, and generous heart, needs our help.

A few weeks ago, Nanay Ruby met an unexpected accident right in front of her home. Early in the morning, while trying to deal with dogs fighting near her house, she stumbled and fell hard onto the pavement. Alone and in pain, she lay on the ground until a kind-hearted school bus driver passing by saw her and rushed to help. With the assistance of concerned neighbors, she was brought to the nearest hospital.

The diagnosis: a serious hip injury that requires urgent surgery.

The estimated cost of the operation, hospital stay, therapy, and medication is ₱500,000 to ₱700,000 (roughly $9,000 to $12,000 CAD/USD). As a family, this is a heavy financial burden to carry alone — and that’s why we’re reaching out to you.

For those who know Nanay Ruby, she’s more than just a mother or a neighbor — she’s a light in the community. Even when she didn’t have much, she always found ways to give — whether it was a small bag of groceries, financial help to a friend in need, or simply a warm smile and encouraging words. Her door was always open. Her heart, even more so.

Now, she needs that love returned.

We’ve started this GoFundMe campaign to help cover the cost of her surgery and recovery. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will go directly toward helping Nanay Ruby regain her ability to walk, move, and live her life free from pain.
