Help Nana Play Again

My name is Alon(e) and I am raising funds for our beloved bandmate and friend Nana Nazario so that we get her back in the game! Nana is a fierce percussionist who has been going through some hard times and severe health issues that have kept her from being able to play music or work. Now that her health is back on the rise, she would love nothing more than to play congas and bongos again, but her instruments are in poor condition due to lack of activity/maintenance, and she lacks the funds to repair them. This has taken a toll on Nana's mental state as well, and so we are hoping to reignite her spark by raising money to get her brand new instruments so that she can get back to doing what she loves the most: playing music!

We are also building a transportation stipend into the fundraising goal to ensure Nana will have a way to get to her upcoming gigs with all the gear. taking into account her limited physical mobility at the moment.

Nana is a proud Queer Latina born and raised in NYC. She has been such a light in the NYC dance, nightlife, and live music community for so long, and we need her to keep shining for all of us. As a musician, Nana has played with iconic artists like The Ones, toured with the British band Erasure and has been a part of the ALONE band for 10 years!

Any contribution you could make would help! We are looking to purchase Nana's gear by July 25th so that she can play her favorite gig of the year at the annual Dean Street Stoopjam Block Party in Brooklyn. You are all invited to attend for free and contributors to this campaign will receive a special personal shoutout during that performance.
