Help Nana Bev Breathe
Donation protected
Grandma Bev (or Nana as most of us know her) is in need of oxygen to survive; she has Pulmonary Hypertension (a form of heart failure) and must be on constant oxygen to function. She is already spending hundreds of dollars a month on medications to treat her heart, and portable oxygen tanks are taking up hundreds of dollars that is not covered by her health plan or Manitoba health.
The funds will be used to purchase a portable oxygen concentrator: $4,000 plus tax with extra battery: $695 plus tax. Everything comes up to $4895!
For Grandma Bev to be able to return to a better functioning life, she requires some help; our family is supporting her as much as we can, but the item she needs is a bit out of our own reach. The help she needs is in the form of a portable oxygen tank so she can enjoy spending time with her grandkids, ages 11 and 6. She wishes to be able to easily attend the sports games for her grandsons, be able to visit her family without struggle, and also to just go out and do normal things like pick up groceries, and take little Cyclone for walks.
As many of you all know our Nana has been a huge support system in our communities as an educational assistant. Offering her own money, food, clothing and anything she could to help families in need, she would give her last dollar to someone if they needed it. She also loves to bake up a storm and often donates her baking to fundraisers for so many things like the military, veterans, cancer patients, refugees and so much more. She is always there as a helping hand for ANYONE out there, and we wish to offer her the same kindness she has given so many in return. So for our Grandma Bev to be able to return to a normal functioning life she requires some help.
She is the matriarch of our family and is always there for her family and all our “stupid little problems” as she would say, and that there’s so much more life and learning for us to live. We would all be lost without her, we want her here with us as long as we possibly can.
