My name is Namakau Angelina Akombelwa Adrah, a Metastatic Cancer Warrior.

I am 34 years young, a mother to a gorgeous 2-year-old, a wife, a daughter to amazing parents, and the older sister to my only sibling.

On the 5th of February 2024, my life changed in a spectacularly scary way. What was going to be a mere checkup turned into a cancer review.

After several tests and lots of waiting, I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Triple Negative Breast Cancer (mTNBC). If I had delayed my tests a little longer, it would have been too late for me.

I have been on high doses of chemotherapy since March 2024. It hasn't been an easy journey, and I have been barely getting by.

In September 2024, cancer disease progression was noted. A second line of chemotherapy and immunotherapy was recommended for me.

I am currently unable to afford the medication needed to rid this cancer out of me—as you are aware, cancer is a very expensive disease. My drugs cost thousands of dollars I do not have.
