Nala, The Standard Poodle Fundraiser

Hi, My name is Clare and I am the mother of Maddie, owner of Nala, The Standard Poodle who is almost 3 and Bailey who is 7 living on the Northern Beaches of Sydney.

Nala has suddenly been diagnosed last week with IMHA (Immune Hemolytic Anaemia) at such a young age of almost 3, which has been a shock to us all.

This disease is a life threatening condition that is affecting her. Her immune system, which typically fights off invaders and infections, is now fighting her own red blood cells.

She is needing regular blood transfusions and ongoing vet care at this crucial time frame from NEVS (Northside Emergency Vetinerary Service) where she is currently being taken care of.

I am seeking assistance to support Maddie because Nala is such a sweet girl, so far she has lived a fun, adventurous, active lifestyle with her best mate Bailey, The Standard Poodle.

This disease has come on sudden and we are seeking assistance for associated vet costs, even though she has Pet Insurance, the costs are high and this has been mentally and financially straining on us.

We understand that times are tough in today’s life for us all but if friends, colleagues and the wider community that loves this beautiful breed of dog, please donate whatever is possible, be it ever so little.

We also need love, understanding and comfort though this time, especially for Maddie.
