Nala finally got her big break. After being failed by humans, a family in Florida saw her on instagram and felt called to bring her home. We were so happy for Nala to find her forever family.

But at her vet visit before transport, we got heartbreaking news: Nala was never spayed, and likely because of that, she has mammary tumors that were missed by the shelter. Now she needs to be spayed and have 6–10 tumors removed, along with biopsies.

Her estimated medical cost is $3,000.

The rescue that saved Nala from euthanasia is small and runs entirely on donations. They already spent $550 to get her to Colorado, and despite $1,500 in social media pledges, only $250 was actually received. Not even enough to cover her initial transport.

Nala’s new family has generously offered to cover her transport from Colorado to Florida. We’re asking for help covering her surgery, spay, and biopsies so she can have a clean bill of health as she starts her new life.

Nala deserves a real fresh start. She deserves her forever family. She deserves the care she should have had all along.
