Nala is truly the best dog in the world. She’s a loving, gentle dog who has been part of our family since she was just five weeks old. For almost eight years, she hasn’t spent a single day away from us. She has this incredible way of knowing when someone is hurting or sad, and she’s always right there with quiet cuddles and comfort. She loves playing ball, meeting new friends, and bringing joy to everyone around her. She is our constant, our comfort, our baby.

Recently, Nala was bitten by a tick and diagnosed with Ehrlichiosis. While we hoped the medication would help her heal, it caused a devastating reaction. She developed ITP and bone marrow suppression, which has caused her platelet count to drop to nearly zero and her spleen to become dangerously enlarged. She is currently fighting to get stable.

The cost of her care is more than we can handle on our own, and asking for help is incredibly hard for us. But we’re putting our pride aside because saving Nala means everything.
