I took Nala, my pittie, outside to play Monday afternoon. After tossing the ball just twice, she came back limping and couldn’t walk for two days. We hoped it was just a muscle strain, but seeing that her condition wasn’t improving we called the animal clinic. We finally got a doctor’s appointment for today, Thursday- we received the worst news: Nala has a tear in her back leg which is why she can’t walk and needs surgery.
The funds raised will cover the cost of Nala’s X-rays, surgery and medication. She’s such a loving part of our family, and seeing her in pain has been heartbreaking. We want to give her the best chance to recover and get back to her happy, playful self.
I’m asking for help because I just got laid off and I’m 4 months postpartum, so things are tough right now. I’ve never asked for money before and this is very hard for me. Any support means the world to us and Nala. Thank you for reading our story and considering a donation to help Nala heal.
You can see Nala playing with her older sister Dalia, and her little sister Daylin. We can’t wait to see her feeling like herself again. Doctors recommended she’s on bed rest with low mobility until she gets surgery.
