Hi I’m Kara and this is Nala. Nala is a sweet German Shepherd who is 7 years young. Over the past year, Nala has been suffering from not being able to keep food and/or water down. Her owner, Andrew, has taken her to the vet over 7 times now and she has had multiple tests + X-rays to uncover what is causing this. They have not been able to find anything wrong with her lungs/stomach or esophagus. We have not been able to determine what the root cause and issue is. She is slowly starting to lose her personality and overall health has declined dramatically. Recently we were told that she has to see a specialist vet to do further imaging and a swallow test to determine exactly what is happening. She throws up everything she consumes and coughs consistently throughout the day, which leads to mucus dripping out of both her nose and mouth. She has lost 15 lbs in the past 6 months. In order to be able to get her to see this specialist to look at her esophagus and stomach/lungs, this will cost anywhere between $4-6K to get the answer we need to best treat her and save her. If you are an animal owner/dog owner, you know how important the health and wellbeing of your fur baby is/means. She is only 7 and has a lot of love to give and life to live, left in her. Please, any amount of $ we can raise, to help put towards her further testing and recovery, is more than appreciated. The last resort is putting her down. Thank you!!
