Help Nala get life saving treatment

My girlfriend’s sweet cat, Nala, has been diagnosed with stage 3/4 kidney disease. This diagnosis came after receiving minimal information from her previous vet and she’s absolutely devastated. She has since become lethargic, wobbly, dehydrated and has lost muscle mass. That said, she’s still got fight in her and still has a strong appetite and has never stopped being the biggest lovebug to her mom and those around her.

Nala has been there through some of Jen’s darkest hours and she can’t bear the thought of not giving her the medical care she needs simply because she doesn’t have the funds to do so. Asking for financial support isn’t something she’s comfortable with but Nala deserves to live a healthy and long life.

Her medical care will involve kidney flushes at the vet, which would take 3 days every few weeks/months, which would cost approximately $5000 for each treatment. Unfortunately we wouldn’t be covered under pet insurance as this would be viewed as a pre-existing condition and we just received the new vet’s interpretation of her medical records a few days ago, which is when we found out about her condition.

Nala is Jen’s world and having her life cut short simply because we didn’t know about the severity would be absolutely heartbreaking. Nala’s not ready to go yet and we’ll fight to the end to give her the best quality of life possible.

The vets and team at Eglinton Veterinarian Clinic are fully invested in helping Nala live comfortably. They have been so sweet and helpful and informative. Anything you would be willing to donate would be beyond appreciated and will go directly to her medical care and antibiotics.
