Help Nakiya Pay For College!!❤️

Hi, my name is Nakiya Craft. I am a First Gen college student at North Carolina Central University, GO EAGLES!! I was born and raised in Winston Salem North Carolina by my wonderful father Frederick Craft. I have just started my first year in college and to be completely honest, I never thought I’d make it this far. Growing up I’ve been through a lot, too much for a young girl to have to endure. I lost mom at the age of 8 from breast cancer, and ever since then, life has been an immense struggle for me and my family. Living with one family member to the next for 8 years, sleeping on air mattresses, sometimes even the floor, not knowing if I’m going to wake up with nowhere to go, no food to eat. All of these problems originate from the lack of financial stability. I have always wanted to go to college, open my own photography studio, and create generational wealth for my children, simply so they would not have to experience the same childhood I had. So I’m doing just that. With the help of my Aunt and my Grandmother, I’ve gotten into a great HBCU, majoring in Business Administration, unfortunately I do not have the funds to stay in college, let alone buy all of my required books. I’ve gotten grants and scholarships from financial aid, and I’ve taken out all of the loans that were possible (NCCU does not accept third party loans). It is still not enough. I have a remaining balance of $3,700 for this fall semester and $3,700 for the upcoming spring semester. Work study is not an option, as for all of the spots have been filled. I have been spending everyday worrying that today is the day I get kicked out of college, that I won’t be able to live out my dream, that I won’t be able to make my late mother proud, so I am coming to you guys for help.
