I am asking for help for my daughter Nakeisha Herndon. She has been diagnosed with Amegakargocytic Thrombocytopenia. Her body is not producing enough blood platelets to keep her body going. The ones that it does produce her body is destroying them. Here levels are at a 10. Normal levels are supposed to be above 145. Her condition is critical. She is at risk of spontaneous bleeding on the brain. She needs a bone marrow transplant to save her. They have transferred her to UAB in Birmingham Alabama for her transplant. She will be in the hospital for 1 month and then will need to stay in a hotel within 6 to 10 miles of hospital for post-op treatments for 3 months. She will have 2 to 3 visits per week after the procedure. Her insurance said they would reimburse part of her for lodging and travel. We will have to pay upfront first. Any donations will be greatly appreciated. She is such a tremendous young lady. Always loved working on her car. Loves riding horses on the wagon trains. Her condition has progressed so that it is hindering the things she loves. She has such a generous heart. She is still trying to work every day that she can. She says if people are willing to help her then she needs to work to help too. Please help me save my child. This world can not afford to lose such a jewel.
