Hi everyone,
First and foremost, thank you for taking the time to open this GoFundMe. My name is Najya and I am fundraising for myself so that I can spend two weeks in 2025 writing poetry in France!
I have been accepted into the Château d'Orquevaux Residency in Champagne-Ardenne, France, a prestigious residency that accepts artists from across the world to stay on the lush grounds and countryside of the small French town. I have already been awarded The Denis Diderot Grant and The Emerging Artist Grant, but I still have roughly $5000 in costs to cover the residency program, travel, and other associated expenses (traveler’s insurance, visas, emergency expenses, art supplies, etc.). However, I need to raise the first $700 in less than 1 week.
