Help Nahir Secure Visa

Hi, my name is Nahir and I am raising funds to help me through the process of obtaining my visa from the Netherlands. I am committed to obtaining my visa from the Netherlands to align myself with safety, mental/physical healthcare, work opportunities that subsidize and help build my creative work/career, and access to art and cultural grants and opportunities in the Netherlands (and beyond).

 

I am reaching out not exclusively for funds, but also to be connected to curators, collectors, and/or organizations and opportunities that can help me, a black queer creative, establish stability and a solid foundation to nurture and grow in the Netherlands/EU.

 

At this time the funds raised will help me continue to pay for my immigration attorney's services, afford a proper housing contract required for my application, and help me safely maintain through the 6 months waiting process before final visa approval.

 

My first goal is €2,500 by the end of March to help me secure a proper housing contract and complete my legal fees. This will start my visa application process and I will automatically be given a 6 month temporary visa.

 

I want to develop my creative career in the EU/Netherlands and create quality large-scale installations, sculptures, and empathy-building experiences for everyone (and especially soft moments and celebratory moments for queer and struggling youth, peers, and elders of color). I was recently featured in print by SLEEK magazine for performing in their showcase, sponsored by UGG, during Berlin Art Week 2021. It is 2022 and I am excited to realize more public temporary and permanent installations and private artworks for galleries, museums, and collectors. I am getting my hands dirty and exploring all I can safely and freely across (and beyond) the EU.
