Naga City & Camarines Sur, our home town in the Philippines, experienced rapid severe flooding overnight since the 21st of October 2024 with waters up to 15 feet deep in some areas. Tropical Depression Kristine has ravaged the entire Bicol region which prompted the region to remain at the highest state of emergency status. Several towns are still severely flooded, and thousands of families have been stranded without food, shelter, and water.

Rescuers have been working non-stop over the last few days to assist residents who have been unable to evacuate due to the depth & severity of the flooding. Various individuals have also mobilised assistance online, by coordinating efforts with the local government entities to reach those in need of assistance. The Filipino people are known for their resilience, but the severity of this climate disaster is nothing like anything we've seen before.
