Help Nadja Rebuild After Hurricane Helene

We are Movement for Life Physical Therapy and we’re reaching out to share the story of one of our valued community partners, Nadja Simon. Nadja is a personal trainer and the owner of Allon Health and Wellness in North Asheville, a one-on-one personal training gym that has supported many of our clients after their physical therapy journeys.

Tragically, Nadja's life was turned upside down by Hurricane Helene, which severely impacted her home in Swannanoa. Here’s her story:

"My name is Nadja Simon, personal trainer and owner of Allon Health and Wellness in North Asheville. Allon is a one-on-one personal training gym born out of the Covid pandemic. Many of our clients come from Movement For Life in Candler and North Asheville after they 'graduate' from physical therapy. Our programming is bespoke for each client with a focus on strength training. Hurricane Helene damaged our house in Swannanoa to the point of unlivable. We had to find temporary housing with my 3-legged dog Doc and our 2 cats. We don't know what the future holds for our house, whether it is fixable or we have to relocate. My partner's workspace and garage was destroyed completely. When we went to check on Allon after the storm and I found it completely intact I just cried and cried, something I have worked so hard to build was safe and sound."
