Help Nadine cover costs for and after surgery

Hi everyone

 

Most of you know our friend Nadine Chemali, founder of femmo and advocate of community care. Unfortunately, Nadine's been unwell for a while and will be having surgery on Wednesday. This means she will be in hospital for a couple of nights and then on bed rest for at least two more weeks after that. That means no work and an extra hard lockdown in iso for her family to keep her safe and healthy.

 

We would like to raise some funds for her for this time and to help cover the cost of surgery and, you know, things that keep you alive like food and rent, while she's off work.

 

IMPORTANT - PLEASE RESPECT NADINE'S PRIVACY AND NEED FOR REST DURING THIS TIME. We know she feels like everyone's best friend online and that everyone means well, but please do not message Nadine about her health, especially while she recovers. Anyone who's been around femmo or followed Nadine online for a while knows how much she hates accepting money for herself. For all her wonderful qualities, she is annoyingly stubborn about accepting help. But tough, she's in hospital and we're her mates and we want to do a call out to help out the wonderful human who spends so much of her life helping others.

 

Nadine has expressed her wish to donate any money left after she's paid her bills to others in need. This is how we do community care in our circles, but it's important you're comfortable with that approach before making a contribution.

 

We love our friend and want her to be healthy and well. Providing some financial support will go a long way to allowing Nadine to rest and recover, so we hope you'll help out if you can.
