Help Nadine Heal: Support Her Recovery
Donation protected
Hi, it's Todd,
I’m reaching out on behalf of my incredible wife, Nadine, who’s been battling Endometriosis and Adenomyosis. These diseases have caused her unimaginable pain and fatigue, among numerous other complications, making it difficult for her to work and fully enjoy life. After years of suffering, she is finally scheduled for a total hysterectomy on March 6, 2025.
Women’s reproductive health issues, especially Endometriosis and Adenomyosis, have long been ignored and under-researched. Many people suffer in silence while facing misdiagnoses, financial barriers to treatment, and inadequate care due to inattention in our medical research and healthcare systems.
Nadine works in special education at Oakland School for the Arts, and as much as she’s looking forward to returning to her students, she will require significant time to heal after surgery. Nadine will be losing her wages during her 10 week recovery. We’re doing our best to stay positive, but this unexpected curveball is hard to manage. We’re still getting our lives in order after her recent move from Toronto to Oakland.
We know times are tough for everyone, but if you’re able to help, even just a little, it would mean the world to us. Your support - whether financial or simply sharing this - will make a huge difference as we navigate Nadine’s recovery.
Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity.
With gratitude,
Todd (and Nadine)
