My little sister is my rock we are two peas in a pod !

It breaks my heart to even have to write this. This morning, my sister Nadine was simply leaving for work — just like any other day — when she slipped on a sheet of ice and fell. In a matter of seconds, everything changed.

She was taken to the hospital and we found out she broke her ankle in two places. She is going into surgery this afternoon.

If you know Nadine, you know she is the one who shows up for everyone. She never asks for help. She pushes through. She works hard. She gives. So to see her in pain, scared, and overwhelmed right now is incredibly hard.

She will be out of work for at least 2–3 weeks, possibly longer depending on her recovery. That means no income while medical bills, rent, and everyday expenses continue to pile up. While her husband works full time it is only so much he can handle . On top of the physical pain, the emotional weight of this has really shaken her.
