Nacho will be having TECA-LBO/TECABO surgery (Total removal of the ear canal) on his right ear on December 11th. After an off and on 2 year battle with an inner ear infection, we have came to the conclusion with our specialists that we will have to remove his entire ear canal in order to be as proactive as possible. It is an invasive surgery that will require a multi-night stay including a CT scan prior to the surgery itself. He will then be staying over night for 2 days for post surgery monitoring.

Unfortunately, we have had to take him into the vet more often than usual because of this inner ear infection. That has caused us to be close to maxing out on our pet insurance reimbursements for the year. It would reset in May, but it was recommended to have the procedure done sooner than later to be safe.
