Help Nabu Reunite with Pets and Secure Housing
Donation protected
Hi. Most of you know me as Nabu, some of you know me by my legal name, Stazi. I’m a recess monitor, a comedian, an artist, and a person who has been bouncing between homes since 2022.
I’m currently at rock bottom.
I’ve been applying for SSDI since 2022 after a lifetime of chronic brain infections for cranial surgeries, the removal of my frontal sinuses, the damaging of my maxillary sinuses, and subsequent undetectable petit mal and various grand mal seizures. The last grand malseizure I had that was documented, was in 2022, which left my frontal and temporal lobes irreparably damaged. My SSDI/SSI hearing , which I do have a lawyer for, is in two weeks after two denials in almost 3 years passing since my initial application. Until then, I’ve been working 3 hours a day as a recess monitor—the most I can handle physically and mentally. I love that job. I love those kids. But I had to miss all of this past week, and I might not be able to return for the final two weeks of the school year.
I’ve been separated from my pets (my emotional support system), and I’m currently staying with my mom, but I don’t know for how long. Everything feels unstable.
I’m exhausted. I’m scared. I’ve tried to push through this for years—sleeping on couches, moving from place to place, keeping a smile on when I’m on stage or with the kids at work. But the truth is, I need help now.
I’m asking for support to cover:
• Emergency housing and relocation costs
• Basic needs: food, transit, communication
• Pet care and (hopefully) reunion with my animals
• Medical and neurological support
• A buffer so I can survive until my SSDI hearing and beyond
If you know me from comedy, from work, from life—you know I’m not someone who gives up easy. But this situation is bigger than what I can carry alone.
Any donation, no matter the size, would be a lifeline. And if you can’t give, just sharing this helps too.
Thank you for reading. Thank you for seeing me.
