This fundraiser is for Nabil Madani, a beloved father, grandfather, and proud U.S. Military veteran who is currently fighting stage 4 gastric Cancer. Nabil is 65 years old and was set to retire after a life hard work when he was diagnosed with stage 4 gastric cancer in early 2023. Since then he has been fighting for his life.

He served his country with honor, worked hard his entire life and has always been the kind of person who shows up for others. His smile lights up a room and he is a positive and joyous person. Now he is in the toughest fight of his life- and despite everything he has done, the chemotherapy medications he urgently needs is not covered by insurance. He has exhausted all of his retirement savings trying to stay alive after needing a risky operation to remove his stomach and then out of pocket expenses for 2 different chemotherapy drugs and immunotherapy that cost thousands of dollars per month. Every day is a battle not just with cancer, but with a healthcare system that's failed to support someone who gave so much. His insurance companies have labeled his treatment recommended by his oncologist team as "experimental" despite appeals and letters from his oncologist. His veteran status has failed to cover the costs as well. Currently he is required to pay $8,000 a month for his treatment. We are doing everything we can, but we have reached the point where we can't do it alone. That is why we are turning to our community- to you- for help.

This treatment could give him more time with his family and people who love him dearly and also a better quality of life from the pain of gastric cancer.

We are asking for your support- whether through a donation, a share, or simply keeping him in your prayers. All funds will go directly towards his uncovered chemo treatments and related medical care. He cannot get the chemo or immunotherapy without paying for it upfront.
