We are raising funds for one of our members, N, who needs urgent medical treatment. N has an ovarian cyst, 8.5 cm wide, that is causing her severe pain. It has gotten so bad that she can't sleep and pain relievers aren't working anymore.

When we went to the hospital for the cyst to be removed, the in-house immigration enforcement officer at the hospital carried out an immigration check. Because of her immigration status, she is facing AT LEAST £3,000 in medical bills for this urgent operation. They said they could not operate her unless she agreed to pay, which she cannot afford.

When she was 17, N was trafficked by an agency from the Philippines to Qatar to work as a domestic worker. After being brought to the UK by her employers, she fled them because of the exploitation she was facing. Due to this, she is now undocumented.
