My name is Mytch, and this beautiful 2013 Honda Civic behind me is Shoebox.

Shoebox and I go way back (approximately September 2023), and we've been through a lot. Multiple moves, a big break up, and many memorable road trips.

Life's been good, but it ain't always sunshine and rainbows - bad luck has finally hit Shoebox.

It started with one blown tire while going 70mph down the highway. (Picture included.)

Then, I apparently made the wrong person mad whoever it was, because weeks later, someone took a knife to Shoebox's tire and slashed it in 12 different spots. (Picture also included.)

But the coup de grâce came when we were driving home one night, and a car accident on the other side of the highway sent debris flying onto our side of the road. We hit a concrete block about the size of Rhode Island coming off a badly-lit exit ramp going about 55.

Shoebox was cooked, nothing but a blinking metal box stranded in the pouring rain.

(PS: This happened less than 24 hours after I replaced his slashed up tire.)

Thankfully, the mechanical muses at a collision center were able to fix him up. While most of his medical bill will be covered by insurance, we still have to cough up about $1,000 to cover our deductible, a heart transplant (new battery,) and his new shoes (tires).

We're not asking for much, but it's gonna take awhile to scrape together the kilo unless I want to skip buying groceries and paying other bills for a month. My life, unfortunately, relies heavily on having solid and secure transportation. Any money raised will go toward paying for Shoebox's repairs and getting him back in my driveway.

Any help given will be deeply appreciated. Thanks, guys!
