Update: It is with great sorrow that dear Myrtle did not survive her injuries. She is no longer in pain. Rest in peace sweet girl. The goal has been amended to reflect the final costs of this horrible time for Fardin and the people who loved Myrtle.
This weekend, Myrtle — a beautiful, gentle pig who is deeply loved — suffered a horrific accident that left her with life-threatening injuries. She is now in critical condition and urgently needs intensive veterinary care to give her the best chance of survival.
Call-out vets and emergency treatment for pigs are incredibly expensive, and the costs are rising quickly. Every hour matters, and every dollar goes directly toward the emergency care, pain management, and ongoing treatment Myrtle needs right now.
Myrtle has been with her human, Fardin, since she was just 6 months old. The bond they share is truly special — she is not “just a pig,” but a companion and a gentle soul who brings joy to everyone who meets her. Seeing her fight for her life has been heartbreaking for Fardin, who is doing absolutely everything he can to save her.
Your support can help cover:
Urgent call-out vet fees
Emergency treatment and monitoring
Medication and pain relief
Ongoing care as she stabilises
Anything you can give — no matter how small — will make a real difference for Myrtle. If you aren’t able to donate, please share her story to help us reach more people.
Thank you so much for helping Myrtle. Your kindness could be the reason she pulls through.
