Myriam's commitment is driven by a profound love for the animals in her care—an effort she continues to pursue at great personal cost, even to the detriment of her own health.

Myriam’s work with Pet Haven is voluntary. She doesn’t receive payment for the long hours, the physical demands, or the emotional toll. Her passion for giving these animals a second chance means she often puts their needs before her own. However, in recent years, Myriam has been suffering in silence, living with severe pain that she can no longer ignore. Despite this, she continues to show up every day, never turning her back on the animals who depend on her.
