For those who know Myriam Hoareau, founder of Pet Haven Seychelles, her dedication to caring for the island’s most vulnerable animals is unmatched. She has spent her life tirelessly rescuing and rehabilitating defenceless animals, offering them not just care but a chance at a new life. Myriam's commitment is driven by a profound love for the animals in her care—an effort she continues to pursue at great personal cost, even to the detriment of her own health.
Myriam’s work with Pet Haven is voluntary. She doesn’t receive payment for the long hours, the physical demands, or the emotional toll. Her passion for giving these animals a second chance means she often puts their needs before her own. However, in recent years, Myriam has been suffering in silence, living with severe pain that she can no longer ignore. Despite this, she continues to show up every day, never turning her back on the animals who depend on her.
Now, Myriam needs our help. She requires a medical procedure that will be performed privately in the UK. The costs for the treatment and recovery are significant, and we are calling on the community—those who know and love Myriam, as well as those who believe in her cause—to contribute towards her treatment.
Myriam’s selflessness has been a light in the lives of so many animals who would otherwise be left behind. We hope that through your support, she can focus on her recovery and return to doing what she loves: caring for the animals of Seychelles.
Please consider donating to help Myriam get the treatment she urgently needs. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a difference. Together, we can help ensure she gets back on her feet and continues her incredible work for years to come.
Thank you for your kindness and support.
