Help Myra Compete Nationally

My name is Myra Pressnell and I am a senior at Fremont High School. I started wrestling last year and am coming up on my 2nd full year of wrestling. Within this time I have worked and trained extremely hard. This season I aimed to earn a CCS title, which I did and also placed 7th in our State of California. Unfortunately, in my first season (2022-2023) I faced a lot of ups and downs which affected my new passion for wrestling. I was constantly getting sick due to covid,long covid,the flu etc. and missed competitions, school and practice frequently. I also missed out on the chance to qualify for Fargo last year due to illness and also being injured during local competition.

This year I was selected to be a part of the National Junior Dual team to represent California, and I also qualified for Team California to compete in Fargo, North Dakota. Attending these events has been a dream of mine since beginning my wrestling career last year and seemed so out of reach due to being sick and missing my chances to qualify.

Junior duals will be in Oklahoma in June and Fargo will be in North Dakota in July. The cost for these trips alone is a few thousand dollars and I would really like to attend and have my shot at competing against some of the best in the country.Throughout the highschool season my coaches and school were able to cover costs but now that it is club season it is covered by mostly my parents, and it is a lot when adding up team uniforms, flights, hotels, food, etc. I am reaching out in order to help take some of the cost off of my parents since this is going to be a huge cost and they have been so supportive of my goals and dreams becoming reality.
